Thanksgiving Parade Breakfast
In cooperation with the New York Police Department, the Fire Department of New York and the Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J., the National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children’s Foundation holds an annual Thanksgiving Day Parade event each year for children who lost a parent in the line of duty.
For the past 11 years, the NLEAFCF has invited 1,500 children and relatives of fallen heroes from the uniformed services of New York and New Jersey along with representatives from law enforcement and firefighting communities to a location in Times Square to a hot breakfast and front row viewing of one of New York City’s classic events – The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Each year families look forward to this significant event for a chance to gather, celebrate and heal; and it is a tradition that we are proud to continue.

Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors and donors, the event is free for all of the children and their families and features an up-close look at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. All proceeds from the event go directly towards NLEAFCF programs including the underwrting of special needs grants and college scholarships for the children of our fallen heroes.
