A Message From Jodi Caplan
Executive Director
The National Law Enforcement
and Firefighters Children's Foundation
My name is Jodi Caplan and I am the Executive Director of the National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children's Foundation (NLEAFCF). Every day thousands of law enforcement personnel and firefighters risk their lives to protect us. In some tragic cases the ultimate sacrifice is made leaving behind a family. The Foundation's mission is to provide assistance and support for these children and through this support, help enable them to lead a full and successful life.
Along with protecting and providing for these children, the Foundation is also committed to funding educational programs created and operated by various law enforcement and firefighting organizations, like the Law Enforcement Exploring Academy and D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education.) The Foundation believes that by supporting these programs we benefit both the children and the community at large.
For every child who loses a parent the impact lasts a lifetime. As a result, our Foundation is committed to providing long term support for these children and their families. We also know that needs vary for each child. The NLEAFCF is committed to ensuring that these families’ needs are met not only during the initial time of crisis but also in the future.
I believe that it is our obligation as community members to support and provide assistance to these children. Please join myself and others who have a similar vision and support the National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children's Foundation. We need your help. Be a hero and make a difference in a child's life.
